Beaumaris Cricket Club Seeking Women’s & Girls’ Head Coach / Playing Coach

Beaumaris Cricket Club Seeking Women’s & Girls’ Head Coach / Playing Coach

Beaumaris Cricket Club is seeking an exceptional Women’s & Girls’ Head Coach / Playing Coach to lead, grow and elevate one of the most exciting female cricket programs in community cricket.

This is a paid coaching opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine impact — not only by coaching and playing, but by helping shape the next phase of women’s and girls’ cricket at Beaumaris.

Over the past five years, our Women’s and Girls’ Program has become one of the most successful and progressive programs in the Bayside area. The club has built a strong foundation, including junior and senior premiership success, a CSBW Division 1 Premiership, strong participation in AGCC competitions, and a growing pathway for players progressing into Victorian Premier Cricket and representative cricket.

Most importantly, Beaumaris has created an environment where girls and women can develop their cricket, build confidence, grow as leaders, form lifelong friendships, and feel part of a connected club community.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role across our senior women’s and junior girls’ programs.

This role is ideal for a coach who is passionate about:

  • Developing female cricketers from junior to senior cricket

  • Building clear pathways from entry-level cricket to representative cricket

  • Growing participation across girls’ and women’s cricket

  • Supporting players to reach their potential

  • Creating a strong, inclusive and high-performance culture

  • Engaging with schools, families, sponsors and the local community

This is not just a coaching role. It is a program-building and culture-shaping opportunity.

About the Role

The Women’s & Girls’ Head Coach / Playing Coach will:

  • Lead training sessions for senior women’s teams and junior girls’ teams

  • Support the continued development of our CSBW Division 1 and Division 4 programs

  • Mentor emerging players as they transition into senior cricket

  • Help design individual player development plans

  • Drive recruitment and participation growth

  • Support engagement with local schools and community cricket programs

  • Provide match-day leadership, tactical guidance and on-field mentoring

  • Help strengthen the connection between the women’s, girls’, men’s and boys’ programs across the club

The role will suit someone who enjoys both the performance side of cricket and the community-building side of club sport.

A Strong Platform to Build From

The successful candidate will be joining a club with an outstanding foundation for women’s and girls’ cricket, including:

  • A successful senior women’s program

  • A CSBW Division 1 Premiership team

  • A highly engaged CSBW Division 4 social team

  • Strong junior girls’ participation through AGCC pathways

  • Players who have progressed into Premier Cricket programs

  • Junior players achieving representative honours

  • Excellent facilities, including Beaumaris Reserve and Donald McDonald Reserve

  • Newly upgraded training nets

  • FrogBox streaming capability

  • Strong sponsorship and community support

  • Full club alignment behind the continued growth of women’s and girls’ cricket

Our program is built around Fun, Fitness and Friends, while also supporting players who want to challenge themselves, improve, compete and progress.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a coach and player who brings energy, leadership and care to the role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience coaching female cricketers at junior and/or senior level

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • A passion for player development and pathway building

  • The ability to engage players, parents, volunteers, schools and sponsors

  • Strong organisational and planning capability

  • Playing experience at Premier Cricket, high-level club cricket or equivalent level preferred

  • Cricket Australia coaching accreditation preferred

  • Working With Children Check required

  • First Aid certification desirable

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to help build something meaningful.
