Beaumaris Proud | A Maiden Century to Remember: Lois Batty
A huge congratulations to Beaumaris’ own Lois Batty, who has etched her name into the scorebook in style —making her maiden century for Melbourne, scoring a brilliant 112 off just 120 balls, with 15 boundaries pierced to all parts of the ground.
This was a knock built on composure, intent, and class. Lois controlled the tempo, punished the bad ball, rotated the strike smartly, and showed the confidence of a player who belongs at the next level, a true statement innings.
Lois’ achievement is also a proud moment for the Beaumaris Girls & Women’s Program. She is part of a growing list of girls young women who have come through our pathways juniors to seniors, girls to women and are now progressing their cricket through elite channels. This is precisely why the program exists: to provide opportunity, development, belief, and a platform to dream bigger.
Today, we celebrate Lois Batty, her work ethic, her resilience, and her love of the game. And just as importantly, we look forward to what’s next for Lois and to the many girls following in her footsteps.
Once a Shark, always a Shark. 🦈
Congratulations, Lois — we’re incredibly proud of you.
